Moore Associates takes pride in this efficiency and effectiveness when conducting a search for one of our clients. Time is a rare commodity in business today and very few Sr. Management Executives can spare even a few minutes from the average day's stressful demands.
Our tried and proven approach to a search, or our process is the key to our efficiency and results. Following the strategies of a Retained Search firm, we meet face-to-face with our clients as well as our candidates, in order to properly evaluate a "match".
A resume and a job spec are nice starting points but every Sr. Manager we have spoken to, agrees that a resume can often be misleading. Either a candidate looks better on the resume than they come across in the interview, or just the opposite. The resume looks unimpressive, but the candidate is excellent. This is why we never judge a candidate or refer them to a client, without first meeting them in person.
Likewise we must meet our clients. Many "interviewers" lose sight of an extremely important component of making a good match, the candidate needs to accept the offer in order for a search to be a success. With this in mind most "interviewers" would agree, in order for us to attract the best candidate for the opportunity, we need to know and understand a variety of issues that might influence a candidate to join a new team. These may range from what can the position offer in the way of new learning opportunity or challenge, to what's the projected growth of the company, to the atmosphere and culture of the team, to benefits, to salary, to why is the position open, and much more.
Afterall, if you were approached by an executive search firm about a new opportunity, would you take time off from work to go on an interview, put your current position in jeopardy, without knowing all that you could from the "headhunter"? Wouldn't you rather deal with someone who had met the people at the company, seen the building, the work environment, met the manager you would be working for? Wouldn't you rather deal with someone who could match your goals and ambitions with the intangibles a company has to offer?
Of course, you would, noone wants to go on an interview blind. Too much time gets wasted. It is the fact that we meet our clients in person and follow our process that enables us to perform at the efficient rate of a Retained Search firm. We are able to close a search successfully within three candidates being interviewed.
